Here are some of the places that you may visit as part of the Thrive and Survive Summer School Program:

Caversham Wildlife Park

Situated only moments from Perth in the Swan Valley, you will be able to see and touch animals native to Australia including Koalas and Kangaroos living in their natural habitat, while enjoying the parkland and features of this well-renown bushland area.

Kings Park

Kings Park and Botanic Garden is literally just a few minutes from the city of Perth, offering remarkable expanses of unique bushland, tranquil parkland and botanic garden. Students will be treated with a traditional Australian barbeque (BBQ) whilst they sit back and relax to watch the sunset and magnificent city lights come alive. 

Fremantle Prison

The Fremantle Prison is one of Western Australia's premier heritage sites, centrally located in the heart of the port city of Fremantle.  Students will be able to explore the darker side of the Fremantle Prison story at night on an eerie tour by torchlight.

Scitech

Scitech is an interactive science museum featuring interactive ways for visitors to discover more about the world and the science of how things work.

Garden City

Garden City is Perth’s Finest Shopping Centre offering a unique shopping experience with a superior range of fashion, food and lifestyle stores.

Cicerello’s Fish and Chips

Cicerellos, on the waterfront at Fremantle’s Fishing Boat Harbour, is the best known and best loved fish n chip shop in Australia... some say the world.  For more than 90 years the name has meant good fish n chips in a great location in the heart of Australia’s largest fishing boat harbour.

AQWA

Explore 12 000 kilometres of Western Australia's coastline in just one day at AQWA - The Aquarium of Western Australia. From the rich kelp beds of the Great Southern Coast to the tropical wonderland of coral reefs of the far North, AQWA takes you on an underwater journey to discover the incredible and unique marine life of Western Australia.

Fremantle Maritime Museum

The Western Australian Museum - Maritime provides exhibitions on Shipwrecks discovered off the Western Australian coast and Western Australia's Maritime endeavours. It also contains galleries with themes such as the Indian Ocean, the Swan River, fishing, maritime trade, naval defence, and the successful America's Cup yacht Australia II.

The Pinnacles Weekend Excursion

Organised exclusively for Taylors College, students will take part in a thrilling 4 wheel drive ‘Desert Storm’ journey to witness the breathtaking scenery of the pinnacles at sunset. Over this fun-filled weekend students will camp over night in Cervantes and also visit Nambung and Yanchep National Park, soaking up the native plant and animal life in which makes Australia unique to the rest of the world.
