Social Studies

The syllabus covers world environmental issues, specialisation and the economy, Western Australia: yesterday and today, and a broad overview of Australia : its past and its future as a country in the South East Asian region.

The subject will promote skills and content associated with lower school objectives related to Year 11 subjects in the social sciences. As many of the students will differ in their abilities and command of the English language, the syllabus outline is sufficiently general to allow the teacher to  adapt the subject as deemed most suitable for effective individual learning.
