Melbourne - Australia's cultural capital

For the second year in a row Melbourne, the capital city of the state of Victoria, was voted as one of the top three of the world’s best cities in which to live.
As Australia’s second largest city, there’s always something to do.

The city

Melbourne city centre has exciting shopping facilities with stores that offer the best of international and Australian goods. There are many cinemas, theatres, cafes, restaurants and entertainment centres in the heart of the city, as well as in close-by suburbs.

The warm climate, safe environment and reasonable living costs make this an outstanding place to study.

Top attractions

Attractions near to the campus include Melbourne Zoo, the Royal Botanic Gardens, the famous heritage sites, Queen Victoria Market and the largest museum in Australia.

Venture into Victoria for a reminder of the rich gold-mining history of the state. Victoria also offers many opportunities for bush walking, camping, cycling, soaking in bubbling mineral spas, skiing and extensive sightseeing.

Activities in Melbourne

Taylors College organizes excursions to many of Melbourne’s exciting places of interest, including Melbourne Zoo, museums and famous historic sites.

Sporting activities
Throughout the school year, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in various team and individual sports.

You can also join the regular competitive leagues at convenient inner-city venues for indoor and outdoor soccer, basketball, badminton and table tennis.

Social and cultural activities
There is a full activities and events calendar organized so you’ll always have something to do. You could be camping one day or skiing the next!

Special celebratory and cultural days are also celebrated such as Lunar New Year, International Culture Day and graduations.
