Meet Teerawit Thuvirat

Teerawit Thuvirat, TAFY student, Auckland campus
Teerawit Thuvirat is from Thailand and is studying TAFY at the Auckland campus.
"My name is Teerawit Thuvirat, but people call me Wit. I am from Bangkok, Thailand. Bangkok is a really busy place with an unbelievable amount of traffic. Alot of people live in Bangkok, more then all of New Zealand.
I have been in New Zealand for six years. I spent my first five years in a small, quiet farming town called Gisborne. I had a nice time there, learned to play rugby and I can speak a bit of Maori language too. “Kei te pehea koe e hoa?" which means "how are you my friend?
On my free time I enjoy going to the gym. Since I have been in Auckland I have been playing rugby for Eden Club. The positions I play at are mostly lock or flanker (if I get more fit). I love playing rugby so much. When I get back to Thailand I will see if I can represent my country in Rugby, I have the skills I reckon. My favourite provincial team is Canterbury.
Since coming to Taylors College I have learned to be more independent and I have made great progress. Taylors teachers are very nice and friendly which is very important when attending a school. The course of study I took was PreTAFY first and now I am doing the TAFY course. The subjects I am taking are Accounting, Economics, Computers, English and Maths A. In the future, I hope to study Business at University, although I would like to be a personal trainer at a gym. My favourite University is the University of Auckland."
