Tell us about your background and why you decided to study in Australia
I'm originally from China and I have strong interests in language and culture. English has been my favourite subject since primary school and my dream was to study language and international relations. It was through English activity groups and our family business where I had the opportunity to familiarise myself with the Western cultures and customs. I preferred the flexible education system in Australia that allows for individualised pathway, and chose to study in Sydney for its beautiful environment, safety and multiculturalism.
Tell us about your experience at Taylors College
I enjoyed my study at Taylors College and those two years have become the most unique and unforgettable memories when I think of Australia. All staff and teachers are very friendly, experienced and patient. The facilities are excellent with modern classrooms, laboratories, career advice and welfare centres, which created a comfortable and conducive learning environment that helped to relax me.
My teachers gave me valuable insights and advice on future study and it spurred me to achieve a UAI (now known as ATAR) of 98.8 for HSC, which put me in the first place in Business Studies in the high school program at Taylors College. I would not be where I am now if not for Taylors College.
