Monash University Foundation Year January & April 2007 Results

Congratulations to all January and April MUFY students of 2007 for their outstanding results.

Monash University Foundation Year September 2007 Results

The Principal and staff of Taylors College Melbourne wish to congratulate September MUFY students on their excellent achievements.

219 students were enrolled in the program which ran from September 2007 to June 2008. Upon graduation, 100% of students were offered a tertiary place and 85% of students received offers from Monash University. The remainder of students were eligible for places at other universities and diploma pathways. Nine students obtained a MUFY score of 350+, and 83 students obtained a MUFY score of above 300.

The most popular course was Business and Economics (69%), followed by Information Technology (12%) and Arts (10%).

Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) 2007 Results

Taylors College Melbourne wishes to congratulate all of the Year 12 (VCE) students in 2007 for their achievement.

This remarkable score places Tim in the top 0.4% of Australian students. He has been offered a place in his first preference course, Veterinary Science at the University of Melbourne.

Young Scholars Program at the University of Melbourne

The Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program at the University of Melbourne is an academic enrichment program supporting high-achieving Victorian secondary school students.

Two Taylors College students were selected from more than 2,600 applicants as Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars in 2008 – Ms Olive Cheong and Mr Jake Bayley.

Monash University Foundation Year September 2006 Results

The Principal and staff of Taylors College Melbourne wish to congratulate September MUFY students on their excellent achievements.

237 students were enrolled in the program, which ran from September 2006 until June 2007.  Upon graduation, 89% of students with known offers received an offer for a bachelor degree at Monash University. The remainder of students were eligible for places at other universities and diploma pathways. 15 students obtained a MUFY score of 350+, and 52 students obtained a MUFY score above 320.

The DUX of September MUFY was SENG, Budiarto Sunjaya from Indonesia who achieved a MUFY score of 378 and has been offered his first choice of program, a Bachelor of Engineering at Monash University.

The Faculty of Business and Economics continues to attract the most students, with 57% of students receiving an offer.

Awards of Academic Excellence

Taylors College MUFY students achieved Awards of Academic excellence in Computer Science, English, Geography and Maths A.  These awards are presented to students who achieved the highest score across all MUFY providers.

Taylors College MUFY recipients were: CHHUA Boung Chhun, DEMENOK Mikhail, NASIR Siti Nadhira , GANESHA, AL HASANI Sulaiman Abdullah Said and HONG, Shuang. Congratulations to these students for their outstanding achievements.\

The Principal and staff of Taylors College, Melbourne, congratulate our 2006 students on their outstanding results.

9 out of 10 students offered a place at University.

89% of MUFY students were offered a place in a Bachelor degree program.  94% of these offers were for Monash University. Students have also accepted offers from The University of Melbourne, University of Adelaide, University of Tasmania, Australian Catholic University and International Medical University in Malaysia

Business and Economics top choices

Business and Economics degrees were the most popular (54%), followed by Medicine and Health (10%) and Pharmacy (7%).

Monash University International Scholarships of Excellence

Each year Monash University offers scholarships to the highest achieving international applicants. Fifteen of our top performing MUFY graduates of 2006 were offered these scholarships in recognition of their outstanding academic performance and general excellence.

Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) 2006 Results

On the whole, Taylors College students performed about twice as well as the State average.

Of the 254 students who undertook the VCE at Taylors College in 2006, 12% of students were placed in the top 5% of the state, and 23% of students in the top 10% of the state.

Business and Commerce top choices

Business and Commerce programs were the most popular (51%) and there was strong interest in Science and Engineering (23%). One student was offered a place in Medicine at Melbourne University, one in Dentistry, two in Physiotherapy, three were offered a place in Law and five students were offered Pharmacy.

Top Students

Congratulations to the VCE Dux, TING Tian Hui from Australia who achieved an ENTER score of 99.6, placing her in the top 0.4% of Australian students. She received A+ in four of her five subjects. She has accepted an offer to study a Bachelor of Biomedical Science/Electrical Engineering at Monash University.

2005 September MUFY results

The Principal and staff of Taylors College Melbourne take great pleasure in congratulating our 2005 September MUFY students on their fine results.

10 out of 10 students receive a University offer

100% of students received an offer from an Australian tertiary institution. Of these, 76% were offered a place at Monash.  The remaining students were eligible for places at other universities and in diploma pathways. 50% of students received an aggregate score of 70% and above.

Business and Economics top choices

The Faculty of Business and Economics was the most popular faculty, attracting 60% of students. Two students were offered places in the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery.
